2017 – Christmas Morning

I was immediately attracted to this text by Edwin Waugh from the very first line: Come all you weary wanderers, beneath the wintry sky. The overall structure was somewhat awkward to adapt, as another line would have helped it fall into a standard 16 measure hymn. However, I’m very pleased with how this turned out.

This year, I also had the pleasure of commissioning my friend Rosie Love to decorate a colorable garland that surrounds the music in the original letter. Rosie is an incredibly talented multi-medium artist. She was also the creator of the piece of watercolor micro-artwork which The New Carolers banner is from, again another custom commissioned piece.
